Terms of service
Last updated 14 October 2026.
1. Who we are
Learn Chinese Online Hub (learnchineseonlinehub.com) is a trading name of LUNAR INTERACTIVE ARTS LTD, company number 12044811, registered office 102 Lady Margaret Road, Flat D, London, England, N19 5EX. Registered in England and Wales. In these terms "we" means that company and "you" means anyone using the site. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Using the site
You may use the site to learn Chinese, for yourself. You may print the printable chart and writing sheets for your own use or for a class, as long as the licence line printed on them stays on the page. Please do not copy the lessons or data wholesale, republish them, or scrape the site. If you would like to use material somewhere else, ask us first.
3. What is free and what is paid
- With no account: days 1 to 7 of the daily course, the first 3 days of each of the other 7 courses, and every tool and reference page on the site.
- With a free Basic account: days 8 to 30 of the daily course.
- With Pro or Lifetime: days 31 to 90 of the daily course, every day of every other course, and courses added later.
We may add to what is free. We will not take away something that is free today from anyone already using it without telling them first.
4. Accounts
You sign in with a link sent to your email address, or with the code from that same email. There is no password and no sign-in through Google or any other company. To delete your account, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, and we will delete it and its progress. Accounts are for people aged 13 and over.
5. Paid plans
Nothing is on sale yet. This section describes the plans as they will be offered. No payment can be taken today.
Pro costs $8.99, £7.99 or €7.99 a month and renews automatically each month until you cancel. Lifetime is a single payment of $119, £99 or €99. You pay in pounds in the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, in euros in the eurozone, and in US dollars everywhere else, in the currency the page showed you. Prices include tax.
Who sells it. Checkout is run by Link, Stripe's checkout service (called Onelink in the UK), which is the seller of record for your purchase. Link takes the payment and collects and pays any VAT or sales tax that applies. Its own terms apply to the checkout itself. We never see your full card details.
Cancelling Pro. You can cancel at any time from your account page, through Manage billing. Cancelling stops the next payment, and you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
Lifetime means access to everything on this site, including courses added later, for as long as we run the site. It does not include the other sites in the Learn Languages Online network. If we ever decide to close the site, we will tell Lifetime customers well in advance.
Price changes. We may change prices for new customers. If the Pro price changes for existing subscribers, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
6. Refunds and your right to cancel
If you ask within 14 days of your first payment for a plan, we will refund it in full, in the currency you paid, with no reason needed. The details are in the refund policy. Under UK consumer law you also have the right to cancel a digital purchase within 14 days, which you may lose once you start using the paid content; our refund policy gives you the same 14 days either way. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
7. The content
We work to keep every lesson accurate, and we correct mistakes as soon as we know about them. If you find one, please tell us at [email protected]. The site is for learning; it is not a substitute for professional translation where accuracy matters, such as legal or medical documents.
8. Stroke order data
The stroke order animations, writing boxes and printable writing sheets use stroke data from the Make Me a Hanzi project, distributed as the hanzi-writer-data package. Its glyph outlines derive from fonts released by Arphic Technology under the Arphic Public License, which permits commercial use provided the licence is credited; the credit appears wherever the data is shown. The stroke data files served by this site remain under that licence. Nothing else on the site is covered by it.
The list of words on the vocabulary pages and their HSK levels come from the complete-hsk-vocabulary dataset by Yanis Zafirópulos, released under the MIT licence (Copyright (c) 2026 Yanis Zafirópulos). The English meanings and the themes were written for this site.
9. Everything else is ours
The lessons, explanations, translations, word lists, the code and the panda mascot are original work and are copyright Lunar Interactive Arts Ltd.
10. Liability
We provide the site with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the date at the top changes. For a change that affects a paid plan you already have, we will tell you before it applies.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and you keep the consumer protections of that place.
