Quests, maps and your bag
Once you are past the menus, the quest log is where most of the reading happens. Quest text is polite, simple and repetitive, and the game tells you by showing you what the words must mean. It is some of the easiest reading practice there is.

What a quest is made of.
Game words are often guessable from their characters: 地 ground plus 图 picture is a map. When you meet a new two-character word, read each half before reaching for a dictionary.
A quest giver
The kind of exchange that starts every side quest.
Quest text is full of 请 and 帮我 because the character is asking a favour. The grammar is simple, the vocabulary repeats from quest to quest, and after a week of it you stop noticing you are reading Chinese.
In your bag
The nouns in any inventory.
Inventories repeat across games, so these four go a long way. 材料 and 装备 are also everyday words, for building materials and for kit.
Chinese lists the compass points in the order east, south, west, north (东南西北) and combines them the other way round from English: 东北 is northeast, 西南 is southwest. A quest that says 西北 means northwest.
